The 47 Squadron crews flying were overseen by a XXIV Squadron Qualified Flying Instructor.
The flying saw the crews flying from day through to night, truly testing the crews abilities to perform this unique skill.‘Holy Diver’

The Red Arrows deploy on Exercise Springhawk every year before the summer display season begins. This year they started the Exercise in Zadar Airbase in Croatia, and then to Tanagra in Greece. During the Exercise the team use the good weather to practice 3 displays a day, 5 days a week for the 6-week period, working towards being awarded their PDA (public display authority).A Royal Air Force Parachute Jump Instructor see’s to the despatching of members of 3 Commando RM and 16 Air Assault Brigade.
The jumps were conducted as part a Atlas C.1 low level parachuting trial working alongside crews from Number 206 Squadron over Salisbury Plains.
